About this formula

A topical balm for cold sore comfort, built around herbs and nutrients traditionally used for skin support.

Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) - a well-studied topical herb. Research, including a study published in Phytomedicine, has explored topical lemon balm's role in skin comfort and recovery.

Garlic - allicin has been studied for its supportive properties.

Goldenseal - berberine-containing herb traditionally used to support skin and create a clean local environment.

Skullcap - traditionally used for soothing skin support.

Lysine - the amino acid that competes with arginine for cellular uptake, supporting topical balance. Typically used orally, but included here for topical reinforcement at the site.

Spearmint - traditionally soothing. Helps with local discomfort while other ingredients do the heavier work.

Beeswax - the base. Keeps the formula in contact with the skin and slows absorption, maximising dwell time at the site.

All organic. For external use only. Apply at first sign of tingling for best results.
