Nervine Tincture - Nerve support

About this formula

This is a formula for the nervous system - not a relaxation supplement, not a sleep aid, though it may do both. A nervine tincture works directly on nerve tissue: nourishing, restoring, and calming the nervous system at a more fundamental level than adaptogens or GABA-pathway herbs alone.

Black Cohosh - a deep-acting nervine with a long record of use in Eclectic herbal medicine for nerve-related discomfort and systemic nervous system support. Also associated with hormonal balance, making it useful where nervous symptoms and hormonal fluctuation overlap.

Blue Cohosh - a more specific herb, traditionally used by Native American and Eclectic practitioners for uterine and nerve-related conditions. Included here for its nervine and antispasmodic action.

Blue Vervain - one of the most underappreciated nervines in the Western herbal tradition. Particularly indicated for people who carry tension in the neck and shoulders, who have difficulty switching off, or whose stress response tends toward frustration and rigidity. A classic for the overworked, overextended nervous system.

Skullcap - a foundational American nervine. Supports nervous system restoration and has mild anxiolytic effects. Research published in Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine found that skullcap produced significant improvements in global mood without reducing energy or cognition.

Lobelia - a powerful nervine and antispasmodic. Traditionally used to release held tension, support respiratory ease, and help the nervous system shift into a more parasympathetic state. Used here at supportive, traditional levels.

Alcohol (45-55%) - the extraction medium. All organic.
